Advocate recently sent out a moodboard for some quirky little characters to refresh some of their categories. So I had great fun thinking up some new little fellas in response to this. What do you think?

It's a Royal Christening!

Little Prince George was christened yesterday, and Advocate put together a lovely little feature on their blog to celebrate. My little prince card features (top right), so take a look!

Advocate Mag features in Art Buyer magazine

Advocate Art's new trend book has been featured in the lovely Art Buyer Magazine which Advocate has featured on their blog. If you look closely you can see two of my christmassy greeting card designs peeping through!!

My gift tags spotted in Australia!

One of Advocate's lovely agents Kate has recently been on a three week trip to Australia, visiting illustration fairs and meeting clients. She spotted my little gift tags at one of the shows on the Simson card stand. Very excited to see my design in the flesh! 

Pastel Moments

I am excited to reveal a new greeting card range I have just finished entitled Pastel Moments. These card designs combine a brown kraft paper background with light pastel shades and limited colour palettes. Each design incorporates a message with a colourful themed border. The range consists of three designs; 'good luck in your new home', 'a little note just to say I love you more every day and 'sending lots and lots of love and hugs on your birthday'. Fingers crossed these will prove popular, and if so I will be making more  in this style. I'd love to hear what others think :)

My illustrations in Advocate's Mag!

Advocate art is the illustration agency that represents me, working on my behalf to sell my greeting card illustrations. They have just released their Summer edition of MaG, a catalogue/trend book showcasing collections of artwork and current trends; helping to give us artists even more exposure. I have been lucky enough to get my hands on a copy, and have spent the last hour or so thumbing through all the amazing artwork. It really is fantastic, an excellent way to show off our work. I am so chuffed to see that quite a few of my illustrations have been included alongside so many well-established and amazing illustrators. I am especially excited to see my delicate Christmas watercolours included on the 'Sophisticated Watercolour' page. Thank you Advocate. I have taken lots of photos so check out the MaG and my designs in the pictures below!

Something for the Dads

It is Father's day soon so I have been coming up with some quirky new designs just for them. I was commissioned to do a birthday card with lots of waistcoats in funky colours and patterns, and afterwards I decided to make a set of cards including bow ties, hats and socks. Thought I would update my blog with some fresh new designs I have been working on lately, lots of bright birthday motifs including cakes, candles, balloons and presents! These were created as a response to a brief I was sent through from Advocate, fingers crossed I will make a few sales!

Advocate art have recently sold one of my card designs to Chuckle Monster, a relatively new greeting card website which sells personalised greeting cards. Since promoting my cards on facebook, my website and blog, I have had so many wonderful comments about my work, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone, it is so good to have all this amazing support! As well as all your lovely comments I have had lots of orders for Mother's day and birthday cards (see my previous blog post for details on how to order), and I have been a busy little bee today, making them all! I print them all myself on my fabulous professional Canon printer, and then I bejazzle them all with gems and glitter before packaging them up ready for distribution :)

A treat for Mum

I have been busy working on lots of lovely new cards especially for Mother's Day (10th March). I have been drawing and painting lots of birds, bees, bears, and most of all, flowers, which are always popular for our lovely mums! Each of my cards are for sale at £5 each (all cards are professionally printed onto 230gsm white card, come embellished with coloured rhinestones and glitter and is packaged with a matching envelope in a clear cellophane bag). Cards are either 5x7 inches or 7x7 inches. They are all handmade with care for that extra special touch.
