Valentine's Day designs

I have been working on some lovely new Valentine's cards recently with bright floral watercolours and a hint of black linework. Advocate art have featured a few on their blog so I thought I'd post a link to them - mine are the designs in the top left and top right :)

Friday, 11 April 2014

It's Friday and I'm off on hollipops!!

What a lovely way to spend a Friday - getting my laminating machine out for the first time ever and using it to make Vintage Camera place mats for my Dad's birthday (I hope he appreciates them!!), and making up a nice big batch of greeting cards to take with me to Scotland. We are off to Islay for a week's holiday and my plan is to get them in some shops up there - watch this space! I'll be back in a week to let you know how I get on! Fingers crossed they like them :)

George's Visit

My brother George came to visit just before Mother's Day and I was super pleased to see that he bought one of my designs to give to Mum!

SPOTTED!! Card Factory in Staines-Upon-Thames

Popped into Staines yesterday and of course did the obligatory blitz around Card Factory to see if there were any new additions! I was very excited to see two of my Easter cards and one of my floral designs in their limited edition Birthday range. It's quite a pricey one for Card Factory at a whopping 99p! It's got a lovely feel to it, and has beautiful scalloped edges, really chuffed with the quality :) I also spotted my friend Natasha's lovely birthday card (lion and bunting), so I had to buy both!

Spring Fair at the NEC, Birmingham

These are some piccies from Spring Fair at the NEC in Birmingham, it was my first time visiting and I loved checking out all the greeting card stands as well as my lovely agent Advocate Art's stand too! These are some of my designs that they mocked up for clients to browse and hopefully buy! It resulted in a sale, two of the chalkboard designs so a good outcome!

Samples!!

I was very excited to receive my first lot of samples through the post from Advocate a few weeks ago! This design was sold to a company called Design Design and will be for sale in boxed card sets for Christmas in the USA. You can't really see from the photo but they are covered in glitter and are super sparkly!

Happy Mother's Day

This post is a little late, but thought I would share it anyway! Take a look at one of my designs featured on Advocate Art's blog a few days ago. Mine is the chalkboard design top left, next to lots of lovely designs by other advocate artists :)
