What a lovely way to spend a Friday - getting my laminating machine out for the first time ever and using it to make Vintage Camera place mats for my Dad's birthday (I hope he appreciates them!!), and making up a nice big batch of greeting cards to take with me to Scotland. We are off to Islay for a week's holiday and my plan is to get them in some shops up there - watch this space! I'll be back in a week to let you know how I get on! Fingers crossed they like them :)

Popped into Staines yesterday and of course did the obligatory blitz around Card Factory to see if there were any new additions! I was very excited to see two of my Easter cards and one of my floral designs in their limited edition Birthday range. It's quite a pricey one for Card Factory at a whopping 99p! It's got a lovely feel to it, and has beautiful scalloped edges, really chuffed with the quality :) I also spotted my friend Natasha's lovely birthday card (lion and bunting), so I had to buy both!

I am VERY VERY VERY excited to announce that the first ever children's book I have professionally illustrated for a REAL publisher will be out this year!!! The Neon Colouring Book will be out this September, and will be for sale through Amazon (pre-order available) and directly through Buster Books' website. I expect it will be in lots of shops too, but will post another update when I know which ones! I am lucky enough to be published alongside two amazingly talented illustrators, Amanda Hillier and Richard Merritt. Here is a peek at the cover . . .

These are some piccies from Spring Fair at the NEC in Birmingham, it was my first time visiting and I loved checking out all the greeting card stands as well as my lovely agent Advocate Art's stand too! These are some of my designs that they mocked up for clients to browse and hopefully buy! It resulted in a sale, two of the chalkboard designs so a good outcome!
I was very excited to receive my first lot of samples through the post from Advocate a few weeks ago! This design was sold to a company called Design Design and will be for sale in boxed card sets for Christmas in the USA. You can't really see from the photo but they are covered in glitter and are super sparkly!
This post is a little late, but thought I would share it anyway! Take a look at one of my designs featured on Advocate Art's blog a few days ago. Mine is the chalkboard design top left, next to lots of lovely designs by other advocate artists :)
